Why We Exist?
Blessed Beginnings Learning Center was established to provide quality childcare for children birth to five years of age. In exchange for the opportunity to shape young lives, we provide peace and assurance to parents who must provide for their families and are unable to stay at home due to employment. Since inception, BBLC has consistently serviced the community since 1999, providing in-home care and center-base care. BBLC thrives because of the superior, highly-qualified, educational experience the children receive during their most precious moments in early childhood education.
Who Are We?
Blessed Beginnings Learning Center is one of Detroit’s premiere child care facilities. BBLC is the vision to life project of LaShawn Bridges, an early childhood pioneer with a M.A. in Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Bridges recognized the need for children to have an environment purely focused on a holistic approach to learning and development through building core relationships within the sanctuary of the village. These core relationships are comprised of every vested stakeholder in the life of each precious child. The sanctuary of the village provides a place where parents, caregivers, neighbors, and extended spiritual communities have one central theme; to Protect, Provide, and Prepare children for the world ahead of them with the power of a unified love propelling children to success. These core principles have driven BBLC to accomplish much and recognize our capacity to achieve so much more! The concept of the village is enacted through the many community partners and grant awards we have established during our service to the Detroit Eastside community since 1999.
Mission
The mission of Blessed Beginning Learning Center is to love and educate each child within the sanctuary of the village. We partner with families to produce the best learning outcomes for children birth to five years of age. Blessed Beginnings is committed to providing high quality learning experiences that focus on the healthy development of the whole child.

Vision
Our vision for all members of the community to become solely vested in the child from the womb to the classroom. Parents, family members, caregivers, educators and community will connect and create a village that will allow all children to reach their fullest potential. Our center will be the premier environment for teachers, children and their families to grow and learn. We will help change the world one child at a time.
